PJBDesigns is a studio designed to meet the graphical needs of people looking to highlight a particular event or moment in their lives and to shed light or 'capture the moment' and cherish them forever. I, Paul Brigidi, Jr. am the founder of the design studio and a graduate of The Art Institute of Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Multimedia & Web Design. I started the design studio as a result of the birth of my son when my wife made mention of making a birth announcement for him to send to our family and friends. The birth announcements were a huge success and very popular amongst our large extended families. Jokingly, people would say "you should sell these things". Well, here we are. A love for sports and a collector of sports cards, I decided to expand on the birth announcements to include designing personalized sport cards for children & young adults. We now design and produces keepsake playing cards for virtually every sport, club as well as any special occasion. My venture started following a life long interest in art, specifically in sculpture and a career spanning 18 years of playing baseball. While attending college on a full scholarship to Lambuth University in Tennessee, I sustained a spinal cord injury which left me completely paralyzed following a collision at home plate with the catcher and shy of a dream to play professional baseball. Deciding that my love for the arts was still very much part of my life, I turned to the computer and the new media type design that technology offered. Rather than creating a piece of art the old fashioned way "sculpting and painting", designing in megabytes and the crazy world of 1's and 0's together achieve a tangible object ejected from the awesome human invention, the printer. Our keepsake playing cards, are definitely worth every inch of disk space required to make you, our customer, smile.
